ChildRoots is a small family of locally- and woman-owned child care centers in Portland, Oregon. We see child as authentic, powerful individuals, and our mission is to guide their social and emotional development and to foster a sense of wonder about the world around them. Our awe-inspiring classrooms are child-focused and designed to provoke curiosity and encourage inquiry, but it’s our Teachers and support staff who make ChildRoots truly outstanding.
This role requires applicants to be teacher-qualified, which means you meet at least one of these Office of Child Care requirements.
Break Support works 30-40 hours per week, offering Teachers breaks and lunches. This role is perfect for someone who's adaptable, adventurous, and excited to be a valued part of several stable classroom groups.
All ChildRoots Break Support start at $19.10 + Step level raise and are eligible for standardized annual raises and long-term commitment bonuses. Other centers and programs offer variable starting wages, but we’re committed to equal pay for equal work.
