All prospective families are required to attend a public tour before submitting a waiting list form. We find it very important for families to visit our facility and learn more about our unique philosophy before placing them on the waiting list. We've found that this requirement helps to prevent misconceptions and ensures that our waiting list is not unnecessarily long.
Once you have attended a tour, you are invited to submit a completed “waiting list form” along with the $40 waiting list fee. Waiting list fees are required once per family and are deducted from your enrollment fee upon enrollment.
No. You can just show up.
It is always hard to answer this question. Because of the way we enroll – we create cohorts of children with a 6month age range – your child will always be waiting for an opening in the same cohort. This means that enrollment offers rely on: 1) the order of names on the waiting list, 2) your child’s birth date, 3) your requested childcare needs, 4) your requested start date, 5) your noted flexibility.

This is the hardest question to answer. Because we have such a low attrition rate, placement generally depends on the unpredictable withdrawal of an enrolled family.
You will remain on the waiting list until: 1) you are placed, 2) you request to be removed from the waiting list, 3) your child is too old to attend our school. Since there are almost always a few openings in the preschool, families who are still in need of care by preschool age are usually offered a spot.
Once you have received an enrollment offer, the first step is to schedule an interview. The whole family is invited to this 45 minute interview designed to confirm for both parties, that ChildRoots really is the best fit for you and your child. At the conclusion of the interview, a non-refundable enrollment fee of $250, along with a signed copy of the enrollment contract secures your spot. You must then select a start date – within 30 days of your interview. Finally, you will need to attend a mandatory orientation prior to your start date. Your first month’s tuition is due by the orientation date. The whole process takes no less than 2 – 4 weeks depending on available meeting times and other logistics.
